The Story Behind the Design

Bring the Broun family name into a favourite reading chair or sofa with a soft, practical throw made for regular use.

Broun name and motto

As a point of Scottish history, Broun is a Lowland Scottish name closely associated with the Brouns of Colstoun in East Lothian. The motto associated with the design is Floreat Majestas—“Let Majesty Flourish.” On a throw blanket, that wording becomes a quiet part of the room rather than a display-only detail.

Fleece Blanket details

  • 50″ × 60″ lightweight 100% polyester throw
  • Clan design printed on one side with a white reverse
  • Hemmed edges and fade-resistant colour
  • Printed to order in the USA, UK or Australia according to destination

The same Broun family-name design is available across other Celtic Ancestry Gifts pieces for a coordinated heritage collection.
