The Story Behind the Design
The Cameron tartan and clan crest printed across a lightweight throw — the one that lives on the back of the sofa and gets pulled over you on an ordinary evening. The motto sits at the centre: Aonaibh Ri Chèile, "Let Us Unite."
Few clans inspired more loyalty. When Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745, it was Donald Cameron of Lochiel — "the Gentle Lochiel" — whose decision to come out for the prince effectively launched the whole rising. The clan's marching song, "March of the Cameron Men," is still played today. A warm blanket is a gentler way to keep the name close.
