The Story Behind the Design
The Douglas tartan — the understated dark green, blue and black of one of Scotland's foremost houses — printed across a lightweight throw with the clan crest at its centre. The motto runs through it: Jamais Arrière, "Never Behind."
The name once rode to the war cry "A Douglas! A Douglas!" with the pipes playing Dumbarton's Drums. This is the quieter end of that history — the same proud colours, pulled off the back of the sofa on an ordinary evening rather than carried into battle.
