The Driscoll name — O'Driscoll in Gaelic, O'hEiderscéoil in the oldest records — belonged to one of the most powerful Gaelic dynasties of west Cork, lords of the Mizen Peninsula and Sherkin Island, commanding the coastal waters of Munster for centuries. The O'Driscolls were known as Lords of the Sea. It's a name with real force behind it, and a strong County Cork identity that endures to this day.
Craftsmanship
This is a woven blanket, not a printed one. The O'Driscoll crest and the Irish National Tartan are built into the fabric using premium cotton yarn during the weaving process itself. The design has the same weight and clarity on every inch of the cloth. Fringed edges are the natural result of the weave, not a decorative add-on.
