The Story Behind the Design
The Johnston tartan and clan crest printed across a lightweight throw — the one that lives on the back of the sofa and gets pulled over you on an ordinary evening. The motto sits at the centre: Nunquam Non Paratus, "Never Unprepared."
The name comes from one valley: Annandale, in Dumfries and Galloway, where a barony called Johnston gave the clan both its surname and its heart. The family's plant badge is the red hawthorn that grows along those Border hills — a soft thing from a hard country. A warm throw carries a little of that homeland with it.
