The Story Behind the Design
The MacKenzie tartan woven straight into 100% premium cotton — the pattern is part of the cloth itself, not printed on top of it. The clan crest sits at the centre, the motto Luceo Non Uro — "I Shine, Not Burn" — beneath it, and a woven fringe finishes the edge the way an heirloom should be finished.
The MacKenzie chiefs still hold Castle Leod in Easter Ross, seat of the Earls of Cromartie and one of the few clan castles still lived in by the family today.
