The Story Behind the Design
The MacLean tartan woven straight into 100% premium cotton — the pattern is part of the cloth itself, not printed on top of it. The tower crest sits at the centre, the motto Virtue Mine Honour beneath it, and a woven fringe finishes the edge the way an heirloom should be finished.
There's a fitting symbol here. Duart Castle, the MacLean seat on Mull, fell into ruin for a time — then was bought back and restored by the chief in the early 1900s, and stands again as the family's home today. Some things are worth keeping and passing on. A blanket woven to be handed down is one of them.
