The Story Behind the Design
The Urquhart tartan woven into 100% cotton — the clan crest and the motto Meane Weil, Speake Weil, Doe Weil ("mean well, speak well, and do well") worked through the fabric, not printed over it. It carries a name long seated at Cromarty on the Black Isle, and borne by Sir Thomas Urquhart, who traced the family tree all the way back to Adam.
