Fox in Ireland translates Sionnach, the byname of the Ó Catharnaigh chiefs of Teffia, whose head was called An Sionnach, the Fox. Our Fox Irish family gifts collection carries the Fox name into the living room, the kitchen, the garden and the garage, and this guide helps you match the piece to the person.
Woven Blanket or Accent Mug: The Big Present or the Daily One?
The Fox woven blanket is the centerpiece of the range. The crest and the Irish National Tartan are woven into premium cotton yarn, so the pattern shows on both sides, and it comes in three sizes from a 52″ × 37″ lap throw to an 80″ × 60″ bed-size piece. Choose it for a wedding, a milestone anniversary or a grandparent who keeps the family photographs. The Fox family crest mug is the opposite kind of present: an 11oz ceramic accent mug with a black handle and interior that gets used every morning and fits easily in a stocking.
Garden Flag or License Plate: Where Will the Fox Name Be Seen?
The House of Fox garden flag is for the front of the house. It comes in 12" × 18" and 24.5" × 32" sizes with a top sleeve for a standard garden pole, which you supply. The Fox novelty license plate is aluminum, 12" × 6", with the crest on the Irish flag and pre-drilled holes, so it works on the front of a car or screwed to a workshop wall. Bring your own screws; mounting hardware is not included.
Ornament or Coasters for the Holidays?
The Fox ceramic Christmas ornament is a 3-inch round, printed on both sides and ready to hang on its gold string, a good pick for a first Christmas as a married couple or in a new house. The Fox tartan coaster set earns its keep all year on a coffee table or home bar, with cork bases that protect the wood underneath.
Which Fox Pieces Show the Irish National Tartan?
The blanket, mug, garden flag, ornament and coasters all set the Fox family crest on the Irish National Tartan. The license plate uses the Irish flag instead, and the Fox emblem T-shirt pairs the surname with an Ireland emblem in Irish Green or Black, sizes S to 3XL.
