Bloomfield made itself at home in Ireland twice over — a Tipperary barony and a Belfast neighborhood. This premium heritage woven blanket honors the Bloomfield family crest against the Irish National Tartan.

The Bloomfield Name in Ireland

The name came to England with the Normans — de Blonville, worn smooth into a flowering field — and its strongest Irish line grew in Tipperary: Benjamin Bloomfield of Newport rose from artillery officer to the right hand of King George IV, taking a barony seated at Redwood. Belfast, meanwhile, gave the name to a whole district of the city, so the name reads as local at both ends of the island.
