This flag pairs the Smythe crest and the "Semper Fidelis" motto shown on the badge with a tartan background, printed on both sides of a full-size garden flag.

Smythe is a variant spelling of Smith, one of the oldest occupational surnames in Scotland and England, originally describing a metalworker. The "y" spelling became more common from the 18th century onward as families sought to distinguish their branch of the name.

The flag is made from 100% poly poplin-canvas, with fine warp threads and heavier weft yarns for a durable, quality feel, and printed on both faces in fade-resistant colour. A top sleeve fits standard flagpoles and stands (pole not included), available in 12" x 18" or 24.5" x 32".
