The Story Behind the Design

Clan Farquharson takes its name from the 15th-century chief Fearchar, and its traditional lands lie around Braemar and Deeside in Aberdeenshire, where the clan was long allied with the Clan Chattan confederation. The crest is shown with the motto Fide et Fortitudine - "By Fidelity and Fortitude."
