The Story Behind the Design
This novelty license plate carries the Turnbull crest and the clan's well-known motto, "I Saved the King," on solid aluminum sized for a vehicle, garage, or wall.

Clan Turnbull traces to the Scottish Borders around Teviotdale, and clan tradition holds that the name and motto both come from an ancestor who saved King Robert the Bruce from a charging wild bull - one of the more specific and often-repeated origin stories among Border clans.

The plate is stamped from 100% aluminum with a silver back and a bright white printed face, measuring the standard 12" x 6" (30.5 x 15.2 cm) with pre-drilled mounting holes; hardware isn't included, and it's decorative rather than legal for road use.

It's an easy way to mount clan history on a truck or car, or to give as a gift to a Turnbull relative who already knows the story behind the motto.

Celtic Ancestry Gifts carries crest and tartan designs across many Scottish and Irish family names - search yours to see if we carry it.
